The New IRCTC SBI Card For All Your Travel Needs

Travel - Anupriya kapur - September 16, 2020

My train travel memories are still so vivid & dear to me, simply because they could never be replicated. While a flight travel is about reaching the destination as quickly as possible, preparing for the office presentation on the go, grabbing a quick cup of coffee… a train journey is a vacation in itself! The fun, the food, the strangers who become friends along the way, the beautiful countryside and the breathtaking sunset views.…gets etched in memory for lifetime.

Whenever I plan to go for a long & relaxing vacation, I usually prefer to travel by train as it provides the much needed ‘me’ time. And that is why I have always been intrigued with any development in the railway sector, which could benefit the travellers. Anything which makes the process of ticketing and travel more convenient. And that is when I came across the new IRCTC SBI Credit Card, launched on RuPay platform. As I read more about this new card, I was convinced that here is something which could be of great value to all train travellers in India as this card is loaded with great benefits.

Some of the major IRCTC SBI Credit Card benefits are:

Rewards: You can avail up to 10%* Valueback as Reward Points on AC1, AC2, AC3, AC CC bookings made at irctc.co.in. You can also redeem these Reward Points at IRCTC website for free tickets!

Comfortable Travel: You can enjoy up to 4 complimentary railway lounge access in a year.

Contactless Advantage: Who isn’t talking about going contactless these days! Right? The new normal which 2020 has brought in, is surely changing the way we behave. With this credit card, simply tap and go, for all your payment needs! All you need to do is simply tap your IRCTC SBI Card on the NFC enabled POS machine to make payments up to Rs. 2,000. No entering the PIN or swiping the card is needed.

Fuel Surcharge Waiver: Besides providing 350 Activation Bonus Reward Points, this card also provides 1% transaction waiver fee waiver across all petrol pumps in India.

That’s not all folks! The best part? There is no joining fee till 31st Mar ’21!

Well I’ve just gone for this new IRCTC SBI Card. Who knows, my dream of taking Kabir on a Konkan railway travel, might just come true next year, once the world gets free of COVID. Fingers crossed!
